The Heinrich von Kleist evening class school is a public school of the Zweiter Bildungsweg (night school, e.g. an establishment providing adults with an opportunity to obtain general education school-leaving certificates later in life, following completion of a primary stage of education) which is operated by the municipality of the state capital Potsdam.

The Potsdam music scene thrives both from its being rooted in the city, as well as from its spontaneity and continual state of change. Bands and orchestras with decades of tradition and local color lend character to the city's music life just as much as promising young bands from the rock and pop music scenes, not to mention the many DJs.

The Potsdam city administration organizes and supports numerous cultural projects and exhibits. Major venues for exhibits on fine arts are the Old Town Hall, the 'Ticket Gallery' of the Nikolaisaal hall and the pavilion on the Freundschaftsinsel (Friendship Island). There are also the exhibit rooms belonging to the various art clubs and independent sponsors.
